Nicholas D.N. Harvey, Jr. joined the firm in 1980 after practicing for four years in a litigation oriented law firm in Tacoma, Washington. His expertise is in the areas of estate and financial planning and probate and trust administration. Additionally, Nick works with clients in the areas of tax and long‑term asset preservation, business and succession planning, the use and transfer of family real estate, and charitable gift strategies.

Nick is a member of the New Hampshire and Vermont Bar Associations. He is also a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel ("ACTEC"). He is currently serving or has served with several non‑profit organizations including the Town of Hanover Finance Committee, the Hanover Rotary Club (former President and member of the Board of Directors), the Vermont Academy Board of Trustees, the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center Assembly of Overseers and the Lake Fairlee Association. Nick has also been on the advisory board of the Upper Valley Planned Giving Counsel and on the advisory board of the Upper Valley Division of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. He has also served with CASA as a New Hampshire guardian ad litem for abused and neglected children. Nick is a member of the 1999 Leadership New Hampshire Class. He is a former Director of Granite State Electric Company and served as an officer in the Air Force between college and law school.

Nick and his wife, Connie, live on Lake Fairlee, Vermont and Vero Beach, Florida. Nick and Connie have four children.
